Terms of sale
Last updated 28 September 2026
This covers paying for Auralar Premium. Using the service is covered separately by the terms of use.
1. Who you are buying from
Your purchase is made through Paddle, not directly from us. Paddle.com Market Limited is the merchant of record for every Auralar subscription. In plain terms:
- the payment contract for the subscription is between you and Paddle;
- Paddle takes the payment, holds the card details and issues the receipt;
- Paddle works out and pays the VAT or sales tax for your country;
- “PADDLE.NET* AURALAR” or similar is what appears on your statement;
- Paddle’s own buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside this page.
We never see or store your card number. What we are told is that a subscription exists, whether it is paid, and when it renews.
Everything about the service — what Premium does, support, your data — is us, and support@auralar.co is the right address for all of it, including a refund you would rather ask us for than Paddle.
2. What Premium is
Premium is a subscription to the extra parts of Auralar, listed on the home page. Everything in the free plan stays free and keeps working whether or not you subscribe.
One subscription covers every household on your account and every screen those households use. There is no per-person or per-device charge, and there never will be.
If we add something to Premium later, subscribers get it at no extra cost. We will not move a feature out of the free plan and into Premium.
3. The price, and the tax on it
The price is shown in your own country’s currency, with the tax that applies where you are, before you enter any payment details. What the checkout shows is what will be taken.
There are two billing periods, monthly and yearly. Yearly is one payment a year instead of twelve, and it gets cheaper each year you stay — see the loyalty price below.
4. The free month
Your first subscription starts with one month free. Payment details are taken at the start so that the subscription can continue without a second decision, and nothing is charged during the free month.
Cancel at any point before the month is up and you are charged nothing at all. The first payment is taken on the day the free month ends, and that is also the day Premium would otherwise stop if you had cancelled.
The free month is once per account. If you subscribe again later, the first payment is taken on the day the new subscription starts.
5. Renewing
A subscription renews automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel it. Each renewal is taken on the same date in the period, using the payment method on file.
You can see the date of the next payment at any time in Settings › Auralar Premium, along with buttons to change the card or cancel.
6. The loyalty price
The price falls the longer you stay, automatically:
- Paying monthly — it steps down after your third payment, again after your sixth, and again after your ninth, then stays at the lowest price for as long as the subscription continues.
- Paying yearly — it steps down after your first year and again after your second, then stays there.
There is nothing to claim and no code to enter. The new price simply applies from your next payment, and Settings tells you which step you are on and when the next one is due.
The steps follow the subscription, not the account. If you cancel and subscribe again later you start at the full price, because the discount is for staying. A payment that fails and is then retried does not cost you your place; only actually cancelling does. The free month is not a payment and does not count towards a step.
7. Cancelling
Cancel whenever you like, from Settings › Auralar Premium › Cancel. It takes about two taps and does not involve asking us.
Cancelling stops the next payment. Premium stays switched on until the end of the period you have already paid for — you are not cut off on the day you press the button. After that the household drops back to the free plan with everything in it intact.
8. Refunds and the right to change your mind
If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase.
- Starting with the free month (your first subscription): the free month is longer than the 14 days, so the withdrawal period ends before any money is taken. Cancel during the free month and nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund.
- Subscribing again: the free month is once per account, so a second subscription is charged on the day it starts. If you change your mind within 14 days of that payment, write to us and we will refund it.
If a payment has been taken by mistake
We would rather you were not paying for something you are not using. If a payment has been taken and you did not mean it to be — you meant to cancel, you did not realise it renewed, it was taken twice — write to support@auralar.co and we will refund it. There is no form and no script to get through; a person reads it.
You can also ask Paddle directly. They are the seller of record for every Auralar subscription and they handle refunds on our behalf, so a request to either of us reaches the same place.
How long it takes
We answer within two working days. Once a refund is issued, Paddle returns it to the card or account it came from, which usually takes between three and ten working days depending on your bank — that part is out of our hands.
When we may say no
We may decline a refund where an account has been used to abuse the service, or for repeated requests from the same account. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
Cancelling stops the next payment and leaves Premium switched on until the end of the period you have already paid for. If what you want is to stop paying, cancelling is usually all you need: Settings › Auralar Premium › Cancel.
This section is also published on its own at auralar.co/refunds.
9. A payment that does not go through
Cards expire and banks decline things. If a renewal fails, Paddle will try again over the following days and will email you. Premium is not switched off while that is happening, and your place on the loyalty price is not lost.
If it still has not gone through after Paddle has stopped trying, the subscription ends and the household drops back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted.
10. If we change the price
We may change the price of Premium. If we do, we will email you at least 30 days before it affects you, and it will only ever apply from a renewal, never mid-period. If you do not want to pay the new price you can cancel before it takes effect and you will not be charged it.
A price change does not reset the loyalty steps you have earned.
11. Invoices
Paddle emails a receipt for every payment. Every invoice is also available from the subscription page they host, which is reachable from Settings › Auralar Premium › Your subscription.
If you need a VAT number or a company name on the invoice, you can add it at the checkout or afterwards on that page.
